Bangor-on-Dee
On the border between England and Wales, Banger-on-Dee is a charming rural track set in glorious countryside beside the River Dee.
Assured of a warm welcome, be prepared for plenty of fresh air and a really enjoyable day out in the country at one of Britain's most idyllic courses.
The course is a left-handed jumps racecourse, easily accessible via the motorway and trunk road network, the racecourse is situated just five minutes from the A483, 10 minutes from Wrexham and 25 minutes south of Chester.
Bangor-on-Dee has a unique character, exemplified by the fact it is the only racecourse in Britain that doesn’t have a grandstand!
No worries on the viewing front though as the main grass viewing bank provides a natural amphitheatre to the racing action. The much improved permanent facilities also provide ample resources for racegoers.

In 2002, Bangor-on-Dee joined up with sister track, Chester Racecourse, where you can also enjoy some fantastic and glamorous flat racing during the summer months.
